Faith is believing in what is true.
Faith has two elements: 1) being convinced of the truth, being certain of reality, having evidence of unseen things, and 2) believing, hoping in, embracing, seizing the truth.
Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Habakkuk taught us that when judgment comes, the just shall live by his faith. And when that seed comes to full flower in the New Testament, we see that the reason the just live by faith is that the just are justified by faith.
Romans 1:17 “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith”
Faith is an attitude of trust in the presence of God, which is simple enough to say, yet to live by faith means to surrender your entire life over to God, abandoning your own desires and becoming a servant under the realization that everything you have (including your very existence) is a grace, a gift.
Everyone, at some point in time, is going to have to live by his or her faith. Not my faith or someone else’s faith, but his or her own faith. He or she is going to have to take a stand on his or her faith. You are going to have to build your life on your faith and endure your trials and afflictions by your faith. (Of course, faith is also a gift from the faithful, all-powerful God, so our faith has a firm foundation!)
Living by faith is how Paul got through all of his hardships and trials, and that’s how we’re going to get through all of ours.
Kingdom Culture Couture t-shirt "The Just Shall Live By Faith" is a reminder that all believers should live a life of faith in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
